A school maintained at the expense of charitable assistance of Transneft was opened in Ryazan Region

On 01 September 2017 the secondary school was opened after reconstruction in Mosolovo village of Ryazan Region. Iury Levin, Director General of Transneft Upper Volga, Arkady Fomin, Ryazan Regional Duma Chairman, Vasily Fomin, the Head of the district administration took part in the official opening ceremony.

The funding of the charity project was conducted at the expense of Transneft. More than 127 million rubles were transferred according to the charitable donation contract between Shilovo municipal district administration, Ryazan Region, and Transneft Upper Volga subsidiary for school maintenance and equipment procurement.

Using the charitable donation funds, the school facility reconstruction was done: the roof was changed, the facade was maintained, the utility system and windows were changed, the interior works and site improvements were done.

During the official opening ceremony, Arkady Fomin expressed gratitude towards Transneft, stating that it’s not the first socially important charity project in this region, implemented with the participation of the company.

Transneft Upper Volga regularly helps local budgetary institutions. Thus, a nursery school and a school locating not far from Ermish oil pump station were maintained in Ermish District of Ryazan Region.

The charity projects implementation in the regions where the company operates, the support of village general education institutions located near oil pump stations is one of priorities of Transneft Upper Volga social responsibility policy.

In 2012-2016, in five regions of the Russian Federation nine general education schools, two nursery schools were maintained and a new nursery school was built at the expenses of Transneft. Moreover, Transneft Upper Volga, JSC provides charity support to cultural, social institutions for programs and events implementation aimed at mass sport, children’s and youth movement projects and environmental conservation development.
