The equipment manufactured by Transneft affiliates for oil and petroleum products metering was presented in Nizhny Novgorod on 28 September. The event was held within the market expansion for products that were earlier manufactured for use at the company’s facilities.
Plant Control Systems (PCS) Production Centre (Nizhny Novgorod) and Transneftemash Factory (Velikiye Luki) presented their products.
The programme of import substitution for Transneft affiliates is to ensure the independence from foreign-made equipment and continuously improve the parameters of energy efficiency, reliability, and safety of the in-house manufactured products.
According to Nail Zagidullin, Head of PCS Production Centre, it is possible to ensure the high quality of products due to the in-house manufacture and the cost of automation systems manufactured by the factory is much lower than the cost of similar systems manufactured by integrators.
Over 50 representatives of Russian and foreign oil and gas companies visited the exhibition.
Alreksandr Rubanov, Chief Metrologist of Gomeltransneft Druzhba (Belarus), noticed the high quality of units for measuring oil and petroleum products quality parameters manufactured by the Ransneftemash Factory and said that the company was interested in using them in the technical upgrading programme.
Endre Beres-Deak, representative of the MOL Company (Hungary), said that after familiarisation with the presented equipment specimens, the company was ready to consider the products of not only Western but also Russian suppliers.

The Transneft Upper Volga subsidiary manufacturing and supplying specialised products and equipment for overhaul, revamping, and construction of oil pipelines and petroleum products pipelines to Transneft affiliates.
Plant Control Systems Production Centre (Nizhny Novgorod)
Within Transneft’s import substitution programme, the production centre manufactures modern equipment: pipeline telemetry cabinets and automation systems for oil and gas industry, which were previously purchased in foreign countries.
