Transneft Upper Volga Organises Excursion to Starolikeyevo Line Operation Dispatcher Station (LODS) for Schoolchildren

Transneft Upper Volga has organised an excursion to Starolikeyevo line operation dispatcher station (LODS) in Kstovsky District of Nizhny Novgorod Region for senior students.

The event was held within the Year of Energy Saving declared by Transneft in the Russian Federation.

The participants of the excursion were senior students from the Kstovo secondary school No. 3 with in-depth study of certain subjects. The children met the employees of Transneft Upper Volga’s Chief Power Engineering Section, who told them about the main activities performed in the field of energy saving and energy efficiency in an understandable way. During the technical excursion to Starolikeyevo LODS of Gorky Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate, the children had a look at the station’s operational facilities, were introduces to operation of electrical equipment and learned about the energy-saving technologies used.

The purpose of the event was to popularise the principles of caring and responsible attitude towards energy and natural resources among children and youth. Transneft Upper Volga initiates research-to-practice conferences at general education institutions, including screening of films on energy preservation and energy efficiency.
Introductory tours of operational facilities, photo contests and children's drawings contests are organised on an regular basis.
