Transneft Upper Volga has completed technical upgrading of a route overhead power transmission line (OTL) at a number of sections of the Surgut – Polotsk oil trunk pipeline (OTP) between Dubniki oil pumping station (PS) and Prudki PS, Kilemary PS and Melkovka PS in the Republic of Mari El (Sernursky, Kilemarsky and Novotoryalsky Districts) and between Prudki PS and Kilemary PS in Kirov Region (Yaransky District).

The package of measures was implemented as part of the development, technical upgrading and revamping programme covering Transneft Upper Volga’s trunk pipelines facilities. During the technical upgrading, reinforced concrete pylons, wires and line disconnectors were replaced at OTL-10.

The total length of the three sections of the overhead transmission line is 29.6 km.

The revamping of the 10 kV overhead power transmission line resulted in a significant quality improvement, along with extra reliability of electric power supply to Dubniki, Prudki, Kilemary and Melkovka oil pumping stations controlled by Transneft Upper Volga.
