Transneft Upper Volga Completes Revamping and Commissions Petrol Storage Tank at Solnechnogorsk LS

Transneft Upper Volga has completed revamping and commissioned steel vertical tank No. 5 with the capacity of 50 thousand cubic meters (VST-5000) at Solnechnogorsk loading station in Solnechnogorsky District of Moscow Region.

The metalwork and the foundation of the tank were completely replaced, a new foundation was built, and then the petrol storage tank was installed.

The large-scale revamping of Solnechnogorsk loading station began in 2016. The automated loading system unit (petrol and diesel fuel) for tank vehicles was reconstructed; a production building, a fire station and warehousing facilities were built. Process pipelines and utility networks of the loading station were revamped. A PIG trap was commissioned.

The works at Solnechnogorsk LS are being performed under Transneft`s investment project, Revamping of Trunk Pipeline System to Boost the Volumes of Petroleum Products Transportation to the Moscow Area. The project provides for the development of the Ring Petroleum Products Trunk Pipeline around Moscow and the Moscow Aviation Hub in terms of increasing the volume of transportation and loading of petroleum products to consumers in the capital region.
Revamping of Solnechnogorsk LS should be completed in 2019.
