Industrial Automation Centre Starts Operating at Transneft Upper Volga

Industrial Automation Centre, a new branch of Transneft Upper Volga, has started operating in Nizhny Novgorod.

The Industrial Automation Centre was created as a result of a merger of Transneft North’s Engineering Centre and Transneft Upper Volga’s Production Centre of Automated Process Control Systems (PC APCS).

The main activities of the new branch include manufacturing pipeline telemetry cabinets and systems of automation, as well as organisation of engineering activities. The creation of the centre will allow to increase production output, speed up introduction of new automation systems and also increase the level of automation of technological processes for oil and petroleum products pumping for Transneft subsidiaries and oil and gas enterprises. The manufactured products are certified, patented and characterised by high quality.

Last year, Transneft Upper Volga’s PC APCS produced 743 units of products, their value amounting to over RUB 1.13 billion, including: 543 pipeline telemetry cabinets, 97 automation systems’ cabinets, 92 data processing system’s cabinets for oil and petroleum products’ lease automatic custody transfer units. Production of new types of products was organised: control station’s boards and information interaction cabinets. 2020 cabinets were produced from 2015 to 2018.
