Date of publication: 17 June 2019 Print

Transneft Upper Volga has completed construction of a 10 kV route overhead transmission line (OTL) at the Novki – Ryazan oil trunk pipeline’s (OTP) section between Ryazan oil pumping stations (PS) and Vtorovo BPS in Ryazan Region. The set of measures was conducted as part of the development, technical upgrading and revamping programme covering Transneft’s trunk pipelines facilities.

In the course of work, 270 reinforced concrete 10 kV OTL pylons with transverses and pendant fitting were replaced. Also, non-insulated wire was replaced with the modern and safe aerial bundled cable.

The total length of the reconstructed section of the overhead electric power transmission line was more than 44 km.

The work was carried out in remote wetlands, which complicated the passage of construction equipment. The technical measures were carried out in accordance with regulatory rules and requirements of environmental legislation.

The revamping of the 10 kV overhead electric power transmission line has significantly improved the quality and ensured additional reliability of the power supply to Ryazan oil pumping station and Vtorovo BPS of Transneft Upper Volga.
