Transneft Upper Volga has completed the revamping of the Gorky – Ryazan-2 oil trunk pipeline sections in Kstovsky District of Nizhny Novgorod Region.
The works were conducted in accordance with the technical upgrading and overhaul programme for Transneft Upper Volga’s trunk pipeline facilities.
The revamping of the OTP’s section began in May 2018. Planned replacement of 10.5 km of the trunk pipeline was carried out, also replaced were stop valve units and the corrosion protection system.
More than 50 people and 30 units of special-purpose vehicles were involved in the work at the operating facilities.
The revamping of the Gorky – Ryazan-2 oil trunk pipeline’s sections was carried out in order to improve reliability and ensure uninterrupted transportation of petroeum products through the Transneft OTP system.
Following the completion of the work, Transneft Upper Volga performed technological connection of the revamped sections to the existing PPTP. The facility has been launched.
