Transneft Upper Volga has completed overhaul of the automated fire extinguishing control system at the Ryazan oil pumping station (OPS) in Ryazan.
The operations were performed in accordance with the Integrated Technical Upgrading, Revamping and Overhaul Programme for Transneft facilities.
The overhaul of the fire extinguishing control system began in June 2019. The fire detectors and instrumentation of the automated fire extinguishing control system, whose standard service life had come to an end, were replaced to ensure safe and emergency-free operation of the Ryazan oil pumping station’s process equipment.
Individual testing of the facility’s engineering fire extinguishing systems was performed, and so was comprehensive automation testing. After the commissioning works, the system was put into operation.
The overhaul of the fire extinguishing control system at the Ryazan oil pumping station is part of the measures to upgrade the station’s tank farm. The goal is to ensure a high level of reliability for stable oil transportation through Transneft’s oil trunk pipelines.
