Transneft Upper Volga Completes Power Supply System Technical Upgrading at Starolikeyevo LODS

Transneft Upper Volga has completed technical upgrading of a power supply system at the Starolikeyevo line operation dispatcher station located in Kstovsky District of Nizhny Novgorod Region.

The package of measures was implemented as part of the technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul programme for Transneft’s facilities, as well as under the energy saving and energy efficiency improvement programme. 

A new 35-kV outdoor switchgear (OSG) with modern sulfur hexafluoride circuit breakers and a 6-kV indoor switchgear (ISG) with factory-assembled switchgear cells (FASG) equipped with vacuum circuit breakers with microprocessor-based protection and automation units, were mounted. The equipment of an automated system of electric power technical record-keeping was installed.

After the commissioning works, the power facilities were put into operation.

The technical upgrading of the power equipment at the Starolikeyevo LODS will improve the reliability and efficiency of the station’s power supply system.
