Transneft Upper Volga has provided assistance in conducting overhaul of a monument to soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) in Volzhsky Settlement of Kstovsky District of Nizhny Novgorod Region as part of its charitable activity.

The revamping of the dilapidated monument began in June. The old memorial was dismantled, a new foundation was constructed, a new base plate was installed, and two granite steles were installed. In addition, landscaping of the adjacent territory was organised. 28 names of dead soldiers, residents of the village, are written on a marble slab. The event was held as part of the preparation for the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory.

The opening ceremony of the monument was attended by representatives of the heads of Kstovsky Municipal District and the administration of the Rabotkinsky Village Council, the Gorky RPD of Transneft Upper Volga, representatives of the Kstovo District Veterans Council and the military commissariat of Kstovo, as well as residents of the village.
