Transneft Upper Volga has completed an overhaul of fire extinguishing systems at the Starolikeyevo line operation dispatcher station in Kstovsky District of Nizhny Novgorod Region.
The operations were performed since June in accordance with the Integrated Technical Upgrading, Revamping and Overhaul Programme for Transneft facilities.
Old stop valves (gate valves and ball valves) were replaced at the fire water supply network. Fire hydrants were also replaced with fire water manifolds of the fire extinguishing system, which ensures safe and emergency-free operation of the process equipment of the Starolikeyevo LODS.
Individual testing of the facility’s engineering fire extinguishing systems was performed, and so was comprehensive automation testing. After the commissioning works, the system was put into operation.
The overhaul of the fire extinguishing systems of the Starolikeyevo line operation dispatcher station was carried out in order to ensure the high level of reliability of the equipment operation during oil transportation through Transneft’s oil trunk pipeline system.
