Transneft Upper Volga Sums Up Preliminary Results of Energy Saving in 2019

Transneft Upper Volga has summed up preliminary results of implementation of its programme in the field of energy saving and energy efficiency enhancement for 2019.

Specific electricity consumption decreased by 0.5%, which allowed saving 4.2 million kWh. Thermal energy savings amounted to over 45.5 Gcal over this period.

The implementation of the technical activities programme provides for the oil pumping process modes optimisation, the pipelines inner surfaces and mud trap filters cleaning from paraffin deposits, the boiler houses revamping, as well as the heating networks sections replacement.

During the implementation of the energy saving activities in 2019, pumping equipment was replaced and repaired with the installation of specific rotors at the Filino, Makaryevo, Melkovka, Dubniki, Prudki and Kilemary OPSs. Boiler houses were revamped with the replacement of boilers at the Starolikeyevo and Vorotynets LODSs. An updated automatic control system was installed at the Filino OPS.

Transneft Upper Volga is actively involved in promoting the principles of careful attitude towards resources. Thematic events in educational institutions, students’ tours to the Company’s oil pumping stations, photo contests and children's drawing contests are held on a regular basis.
