Transneft Upper Volga Completes Scheduled Repairs of Trunk Pipelines

Transneft Upper Volga has completed scheduled repairs of trunk pipelines in Moscow Region and the Republic of Mari El to ensure uninterrupted operation of its facilities.

During a scheduled 72-hour shutdown of oil transportation via the Surgut – Polotsk oil trunk pipeline (OTP), midlife repairs of 17 gate valves were performed.

A defect was cut out near the Yaroslavskoye highway at the Ring Petroleum Products Trunk Pipeline (RPPTP), and midlife repairs of stop valves were performed at the Solnechnogorsk loading station. The operation of the pipelines was suspended for 110 hours.

42 specialists were involved in the repairs, 25 pieces of equipment were used.

After completion of the planned works, transportation of oil and petroleum products along the trunk pipelines was resumed according to the schedule and is conducted under the standard protocol.
