Transneft Upper Volga Completes Scheduled Repairs at Company’s Operating Facilities

During a scheduled 72-hour shutdown of petroleum products transportation via the Gorky — Novki and Novki — Ryazan petroleum products trunk pipelines, the revamping of pipeline clean-up and inspection gadget traps (PIG) at the Vtorovo booster pump station (BPS) was completed.

In addition, six gate valves were repaired at the Starolikeyevo line operation dispatcher station (LODS). The technical upgrading of the pipeline telemetry at the Vtorovo — Primorsk section of the Vtorovo — Yaroslavl PPTP was completed. On the line of the PPTP section, 5 new pipeline telemetry cabinets were replaced, installed and set up.

The set of technical measures was carried out in accordance with the Technical Upgrading, Revamping and Overhaul Programme of Transneft’s facilities in Nizhny Novgorod and Vladimir Regions in order to ensure uninterrupted operation of operating facilities and their environmental safety.

56 specialists were involved in the works, 19 pieces of equipment were used.

After completion of the planned works, petroleum products transportation along the trunk pipelines was resumed according to the schedule and is being conducted under the standard protocol.
