Transneft Upper Volga has completed scheduled repairs of trunk pipelines in Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Tula and Vladimir Regions.
Technological elements of pipeline operation were replaced, the installed equipment will allow to maintain a high level of industrial and environmental safety.
During a planned 72-hour shutdown of petroleum products transportation through the Ryazan – Tula – Orel petroleum products trunk pipeline (PPTP), gate valve units were replaced at the section of the underwater crossing via the Upa River between the main and standby legs of the PPTP.
Repair of stop valves was performed at the Gorky – Novki oil trunk pipeline (OTP), at the Ring petroleum products pipeline (RPPTP) around Moscow, as well as at the header of the Vorotynets LODS mainline pump station.
During the work, a scheduled shutdown of oil transportation was made through the Gorky – Novki and Almetyevsk – Gorky-3 oil trunk pipelines, as well as of petroleum products transportation through the RPPTP.
52 specialists were involved in the repairs, 24 pieces of equipment were used. The works were performed in accordance with the technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul programme for Transneft facilities. The goal is to ensure uninterrupted functioning of operating facilities.
After completion of the planned works, transportation of oil and petroleum products along the trunk pipelines was resumed according to the schedule and is conducted under the standard protocol.
