Transneft Upper Volga has commissioned the oil and petroleum products lease automatic custody transfer unit (LACT) at the Ryazan and the Kolomna petroleum products pumping stations in Ryazan and Moscow Region, respectively.
The works were performed as part of the technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul programme for operating facilities. The goal was to improve metering accuracy and ensure a high level of oil and petroleum products’ quality control.
A modern data processing system (DPS) was installed by the Industrial Automation Centre, a branch of Transneft Upper Volga. Specialists also installed quality control units and ultrasonic aviation kerosene flow transducers produced by Transneftemash Factory of Velikiye Luki of Transneft Upper Volga.
The new equipment allows to automatically measure mass and quality indicators of oil and petroleum products, as well as take samples and register parameter measurements. Data formed by the LACT is transmitted to a unified supervisory control system to ensure continuous control by operating dispatchers.
The oil and petroleum products’ lease automatic custody transfer unit allows for automated measurement of the mass and quality indicators of oil and petroleum products during commodity operations.
