On 16 February 2021, Transneft Upper Volga has held the Supplier Day in Nizhny Novgorod jointly with the Government of Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Nizhny Novgorod Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (NAPP).
The purpose of the event is to increase opportunities of Nizhny Novgorod enterprises in the field of public procurement, as well as to promote development of partnerships between potential customers and suppliers.
The meeting was attended by Andrey Sanosyan, Deputy Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region, Yury Levin, Director General at Transneft Upper Volga, Maksim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of Nizhny Novgorod Region, Valery Tsybanev, Director General at NAPP, heads of the largest enterprises of Nizhny Novgorod Region, as well as representatives of small and medium-sized businesses. More than 120 enterprises became participants in the Supplier Day.
Due to the epidemic situation, the event was held in a video conference format.
During the meeting, heads of company’s relevant sections presented reports and presentations on how to become a supplier for Transneft Upper Volga, on company's needs in industrial products procurement and specifics of participation in procurement procedures.
Also, during the meeting, important aspects of procurement were discussed within the framework of the current legislation and procurement participants rights protection. As a result of the event, good prospects were noted for the further implementation of the federal import substitution programme, the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between enterprises of Nizhny Novgorod Region and Transneft Upper Volga, as well as support for domestic manufacturers.
