Transneft Upper Volga starts filling Nagornaya loading station with petroleum product

Transneft Upper Volga’s professionals have commenced filling process pipelines of Nagornaya loading station (LS) located in Pushkin District of Moscow Region with jet fuel and motor petrol.

The set of measures is being implemented to test the facility prior to putting it into operation after revamping it within the scope of implementing an investment project for increasing petroleum products transportation to Moscow Region.

Revamping of Nagornaya LS included construction of a mainline pump house, a control room, a tank farm pump house, a new tank vehicle loading station and a petroleum products quality testing laboratory. The action plan included construction of treatment facilities, a production building, a boiler house, a procurement depot and revamping a tank farm to store petroleum products. The station’s infrastructure includes a set of facilities to ensure industrial and fire safety (a fire pumping station and firewater storage tanks). Process pipelines, equipment and utilities were also replaced.

The comprehensive revamping of Nagornaya loading station is expected to be completed in May 2018, followed by the facility being put into operation.

As a result of commissioning all the facilities under the Revamping of the Trunk Pipeline System to Boost the Volumes of Petroleum Product Transportation to Moscow Region investment project, the volume of motor petrol transportation shall rise to 5.26 MTPA and the volume of jet fuel transportation shall rise to 5.9 MTPA.
